     National Chiao Tung University (NCTU) in Hsinchu City, Taiwan, operates a dual degree program with Chonnam National University. NCTU is one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in Taiwan, which was originally founded in Shanghai in 1896 as the second modern university in China and reestablished in 1958 in Hsinchu as a primary engineering and management research university by a former Chiao Tung University faculty and alumni members. Today, NCTU has become a comprehensive university consisting of nine colleges with 700 full-time faculty members and 14,000 students. Its main campus is located close to the Hsinchu Science Park, Taiwan’s first national science park. Many of its students have opportunities to work with top high-tech companies. Approximately, 65% of CEO’s in high-tech companies in the park are NCTU’s alumni. Engineering and Computer Science departments of NCTU are the largest and most notable majors in Taiwan, and both departments have been ranked in the range of 40-50 in the past few years in Shanghai Jiao Tong University’s Academic Ranking of World Universities.
