▲Curtin University in Bertly, Austrailia

Since 2012, Chonnam National University students could study at Curtin University (CU), the largest and most multi-cultural university in Western Australia. Established in 1966, as the Western Australian Institute of Technology, the university is named after John Curtin who was the 14th Prime Minister of Australia from 1941 to 1945. The main campus is situated in Bentley, the capital city of Western Australia. Around 40,000 students attend a total of nine Curtin campuses, including campuses in Sydney, Singapore, and East Malaysia. Since the campuses are located in various regions, students who are going to apply to a student exchange program should check the location of the campus and the lectures they will take. The research activities of CU are concentrated in four areas: Minerals and Energy, Information & Communication and Technology and Emerging Technologies, Health, and Sustainable Development. CU is ranked within the top 300 universities by Quacquarelli Symonds World University Rankings in 2013.
