Northumbria University at Newcastle in the United Kingdom
Northumbria University (NU) at Newcastle in the United Kingdom made a dual degree program agreement with Chonnam National University (CNU) on November 29th, 2012. Thanks to the agreement, two English-speaking students who are majoring in business administration or economics will get an opportunity to study at NU. Gu Hee-jin, officer from Office of International Affairs of CNU said, “Unlike other dual degree programs which students study two years at another university, you will study one year at NU”.
The university was formed in 1969. At first they had three regional colleges but by the year 2000, NU became the largest university with 32,500 students, offering almost 500 courses in the North East of England. NU has two separate campuses which are linked by the University’s free bus service. The largest, City Campus provides most regular courses on design, business, law, computing, life sciences, and so on. The other one is Coach Lane Campus for students from the School of Health, Community and Education Studies. The university comes in at 49th position in The Times Good University Guide.
