The Chonnam Tribune inquired about attractive places on Yongbong campus on Facebook and selected five places that students recommended. - Ed.

Metasequoia Road
This place makes me feel a desire to walk. Walking on the road, I can relax on sunny days. - Kang Jun-hyeok (Senior, School of Biology Sciences and Technology)

Main Stadium
Many families spend their time on the shiny green grass around the Main Stadium on weekends. Looking at them makes me smile. - Kim Jeong-su (Sophomore, Dept. of Geography)

Back Street of the College of Arts Building
I often walk along the road behind the College of Arts buildings. Few people are there, so I can take a walk enjoying music performed by the students of the music department. - Kim Jin-a (Senior, School of Biology Sciences and Technology)

Yongji
Birds on the Yongji and lovely campus couples sitting by the pond look happy. It is the harmony between humans and nature. I recommend this place. - Kim Hyun (Freshman, Division of Plant Biotechnology)

Bongji Fountain
I can feel the energy from a gorgeous statue in the middle of the Bongji Fountain and passionate students around the fountain. - Kim Ji-su (Freshman, Division of Animal Science)

* Yongji and Bongji Fountain require regular cleaning and maintenance. As for Yongji, the underground water is pumped daily into the pond, and green algae and garbage are removed by a cleaning service team. The team goes to the artificial island in the middle of the pond and removes water weeds once a month. During the winter, the team members cut plants from the Yongji such as lotus and water hyacinth and then make compost for farming at the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. As for Bongji Fountain and its surroundings, a cleaning service team cleans there twice a day. Water is pumped once every two months and the bottom of the fountain is cleaned up once every two months.
