Bong Jang-jong introducing information about working holiday
A presentation on the Working Holiday was held by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) and Chonnam National University Office of International Affairs (CNU-OIA) at the Yongbong Hall last May 29th. The Working Holiday is a program that gives chance young people who are in 18 to 30 to live abroad and experience foreign cultures with trip, work and study. Experienced students presented their experience and Bong Jang-jong (Section Chief, MOFA Working Holiday Information Center) introduced information about working holiday like visa, work place, language, study abroad, safety information and so on. The program has been popular to CNUians and has garnered many applicants ever since it was opened. Jo Ara (Senior, English Language and Literature), a student who went for the working holiday to Canada, said that the program hits ‘several birds’ with one stone. “By going to the working holiday program, I was able to not only to study English but was able to earn money and experience and new culture.” For students who would like to get more information about the program, please visit the MOFA Working Holiday Information Center Site (www.whic.kr).
