By Lim Seon-young, Tribune reporter

Lee Jeong-hee delivered the 3rd lecture at the Yongji Convention Hall

The Chonnam National University General Student Council (CNU GSC), Action, held lectures from March 21st to 22nd, 2013 at the Yongji Convention Hall. On March 21, 2013, Choe Han-uk (Podcast Producer) delivered a lecture entitled “Youth! Don’t be hurt anymore!” at 4:00pm, and Kim Seon-hun (Our Society Laboratory Researcher) delivered a lecture on the Korean Peninsula’s war risks and reunification at 7:00pm. In succession, on March 22nd, Lee Jeong-hee (Unified Progressive Party Representative) delivered a lecture “Standing as a Host of Korea” at 4:00pm; lastly, Son Woo-jeong (Hope Administration Network Consultant) delivered a lecture entitled “Education Policy of Park Regime and Half-price Tuition” at 7:00pm. Lee stressed on ownership of university students, and added that the way to live as host is voicing out opinions and activism even if individual actions is considered minute. Son spoke ironically and pointed out the issues of the university appraisal index. Over 300 students attended the lecture of Lee, but in other lecture, a very small number of students were in attendance. Yu Chang-min (Coordinator, CNU GSC) said “We prepared these lectures to interact with fellow students before the Students’ General Meeting on March 26, 2013. Lectures were good, but many students didn’t come because of lack of publicity. We will do our best to address this issue next time.” The GSC is scheduled to hold a lecture with another guest speaker on April 30th.
