GSC protest against ‘illegal’ School Support Fees

    The Chonnam National University (CNU) General Student Council (GSC) held a press conference demanding half-price tuition with an abolishment of School support fees in front of Student Union Building Ⅰ on March 14^th. Students pointed out that half-price tuition, one of the promises of former President Lee Myung-bak was not fulfilled and ‘national scholarship’ which is regarded as an alternative of half-price tuition is no use because of its unclear selection criteria. The new Korean government still does not any action to solve this problem. “There are lots of students who still do not know school support fee is illegal. We hope more CNUians care about GSC’s action and social issues” said Yang Gun-jae (Senior, School of Business Administration), the vice president of GSC.
