The 19^th CNU President Will Be Appointed

Ji Byeong-moon (Professor, Department of Political Science and Diplomacy) and Yoon Taek-lim (Professor, College of Medicine) were recommended as the 1^st and the 2^nd nominees for the 19^th Chonnam National University (CNU) President to the Ministry Of Education, Science and Technology (MEST) on December 17^th, 2012. CNU had undergone a lot of problems regarding the University Presidential Elections. Park Chang-soo (Professor, CNU Medical School) who won the 1^st presidential election, had resigned due to illegal electioneering and the re-election was held on October 17^th. After the re-election, academic paper plagiarism suspicions were voiced between the two presidential nominees. Fortunately, the Research Ethics and Integrity Committee of the CNU professors announced on November 23^rd that there were no grave ethical violations from the papers published by the two. According to the MEST, the 19^th president of CNU will be appointed around the middle of December 2012.
