<#322 Letter to Chonnam Tribune>

Way to Go, Tribune!

As a Korean student subscribing to the Chonnam Tribune regularly, I always enjoy reading this English newspaper, which is always full of interesting articles and columns. It is useful for both international students and Korean students. International students who are not proficient in the Korean language can know what is happening on campus by reading this newspaper. Local students can understand what foreign students are interested in, and at the same time study English in a fun way. As this newspaper provides up-to-date news about CNU and Korea in English, I think it has been playing an important role for CNU students. The previous issue the paper focused on the 19th CNU presidential election and Hallyu, which are considered as the hottest issues at CNU and in Korea. While the special report about Hallyu attracted my interest, the campus news section seems like the most informative and helpful for the international students. Although the CNU presidential election is a matter that can affect all CNUians, many international students were excluded from information due to the lack of Korean language ability. Here, the Chonnam Tribune has done a great job for them. In particular, they tried to deliver the newest news by updating the results of the CNU presidential reelection online, which could be the most intriguing news for some students. Way to go, Tribune!
