Student check each college turnout.

2013 General Student Council and General Female Council election has opened at 24 polling stations in Chonnam National University’s Yongbong and Hakdong Campus on November 13th, 2012. In this election, there is only one party to participate for candidacy, a first in three years.
In spite of the candidates pleading for the students to participate in the elections as well as text messages sent from every college to urge students to vote, the ballot boxes could not be opened last November 13 due to the lack of turnout of voters (38.78% for the GSC and 41.14% and the GFC). Because of this, the Central Election Management Commission (CEMC) decided to extend the elections for one day, until November 14th. On Tuesday, College of Pharmacy was the highest (94.38%) and the lowest turnout rate was from the College of Law with 15.22%.
On November 14th, the prolonged vote continued until 6 p.m. One hour before deadline, the total turnout was 48.7%. The total turnout was 49.86%, so, one more day will be given for the vote. The second extension until November 15, 2012 will be the last extension, based on the 2-time extension rule of the CEMC.
