The event organizer, CNU Biology Specimen Research Society’s main purpose is to approach pure biology by collecting organisms and recognize diversity, ecology, and action. One of the spectators, Lee Eun-bin (Alumnae, Department of Biological Science) said, this exhibition annually has opened but whenever I visit, there is always something new. Unlike last year, the exhibit of the National Institute of Biological Resources showcased a mini-contest exhibit containing prized winning-works. Specimen Research Society’s president, Kim Choong Yong said that “current society moves very quickly and most of the classes are disconnected with nature, so being concerned with the environment is difficult for most of us. Through research activities, we could do it and know more about every life’s preciousness.” CNU Biology Specimen Research Society collect organism near in Jeonnam Region annually, stores and manages the specimens to be viewed in their annual exhibition.
