The 5th International Organization Briefing Session hosted by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and Trade (MOFAT) was held in White Library of Chonnam National University (CNU) on June 1, 2012. This session gives some tips in applying for international organizations including especially those in the United Nations System such as UNDP, WFP, and the IFAD. The seminar hall was full not only of CNU students but also people who went from different regions such as Daegu and Ulsan. The heads of the human resource section explained about their information about recruiting in their respective fields. Hyoung-Joon Lim, head of the United Nations World Food Programme (UN WFP) encouraged students to do what they want over being enticed with the big idea of being in an international organization.”Don’t be fascinated with the idea that international organizations are of glamour and fame. Do not be one-sided on the superficial. Take up the challenge when you really feel the need and have passion in doing what you really want to do.” The event is a counting project of MOFAT in order to encourage students to look into international organizations. The event lasted until 5PM.
